"The RISE Program empowers students and families with the strategies, skills, and support they need to thrive in their school and in the community."
Kelsey Sciacca, Principal
Park Elementary School
Elementary schools nationwide are grappling with a critical issue: disruptive and unsafe behaviors among students. The prevalence of dysregulation in students and staff is alarming, leaving administrators without practical solutions.
But when elementary students are suspended, they experience:
lagging academic skills.
a lack of credible learning environments
a return to the classroom with no additional supports
burnout by repeating this process without help.
fractured relationships between school and home
The RISE program offers a research-based and effective alternative to out-of-school suspension or when students are not classroom-ready.
RISE provides comprehensive Relationship, Instruction, Safety, and Emotional support to students struggling with behavioral challenges in school.
The program is an alternative to out-of-school suspension and/or a Tier 3 behavioral wellness intervention. The emphasis of this program rests on teaching students the strategies needed to be successful in the classroom, as well as responsibility and accountability to their school community.
Schools and districts that participate in the RISE program receive:
personalized curriculum
specific training
on-going support
This creates a nurturing environment that fosters academic and personal growth, while promoting accountability, a sense of belonging, and positive community connections.
We accomplish this by integrating Restorative Practices, including building positive relationships, enhancing instructional strategies, ensuring safety, and addressing emotional needs.
