What is the one thing, that if it doesn't happen, nothing else matters?

The science is clear. We can build resilience at any age.

To help people understand the science of resilience, we have coined, and live by the motto:

  • I see you

  • I hear you

  • I am with you

How Can We Be There for You?

  • Equipping Resilience Coaches

Our Equipping Resilience Coaches training prepares your staff to lead the ongoing implementation of trauma-responsive best practices that promote social and emotional well-being for students and teachers.

  • Restorative Practice Coaches

Restorative Practices are specific skills and strategies that build stronger communities by replacing punishment with conflict resolution. Our team training model supports long-term behavioral and relational wellness.

  • Peaceful Schools & Families

Peaceful Schools and Families leads to a community of emotional and psychological safety needed to handle the toxic stress where we live and work. We’ll equip you with the tools, strategies, and mindset to make that happen.

Listen to Resilience Conversations, our web series featuring truly amazing guests sharing their wisdom! We add our own stories of hope and support.

We want you to be part of the conversation. Join hundreds of others on our Resilience Facebook group!

  • Restorative Justice in Education

Looking to build relationships and increase communication before problems arise? Our Restorative Justice in Education series is just what you need.

  • Become Trauma Informed

Becoming a trauma-informed school is typically a 3-5 year process through high-quality and ongoing professional learning. Let us be your expert guides.

  • Poverty Paradigm Simulation

Our interactive sim provides just a taste of what so many of our students and families experience each month and is designed for communities / schools.

  • Resilience Conferences

Our annual Bridging to Resilience conference brings hundreds of like-minded individuals together to share ideas, resources, and connections.

We believe . . .

  • that deep and lasting change happens over time in community with others, together.

  • that safe supportive relationships heal brains.

  • our schools and organizations can be places of hope and healing.

  • our staff and our parents are the greatest resources in a child's life.

  • everyone is valuable and has a purpose.

  • that in order for any of us to thrive, we must be in environments where we feel seen, heard, and connected.

  • in order to transform our schools and heal brains, we must build and become truly trauma-informed places, where we discipline to teach - not punish - and where we understand that both learning and behavior are brain issues and not character issues.

FAQs

  • We sure can! Let’s talk about your school goals and the outcomes you want to achieve both from this work and long term.

  • Most of our services can be done virtually. Our Poverty Paradigm simulation truly does need to be in-person but otherwise, let’s talk!

  • While we are based in Hutchinson Kansas, our team will travel to you. We have visited many states and other countries and would love to find a way to best serve you.

  • That’s okay! We work with many districts and organizations outside of the ESSDACK membership community and would love to work with you.

  • College credit is an important part of relicensing for professionals so if this is something you need, let us know and we will arrange a way for educators to earn credit.

Sadly, at this time we are unable to offer CEUs to social workers.
