Resilience Now Virtual Conference

Resilience Now
Healing Collective Trauma in the Time of COVID-19
July 16–17, 2020

Join the ESSDACK Resilience Team and hundreds of others virtually on July 16-17, 2020 to share strategies and resources for building collaborative and resilient communities to heal trauma and solve poverty.

Your registration provides access to the equivalent of a full day of learning (split into two half days) with keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and guided conversations.

How do I attend:

All keynote presentations and breakout sessions will be delivered via Zoom virtual conferencing software. Prior to July 16, all registered participants will receive emails detailing how to join the conference and attend sessions.

(Check your inbox on July 14 and 15 for these emails. They will be addressed from Rebecca Lewis Pankratz and ESSDACK. If you don’t see them in your primary inbox, search in your Gmail Promotions tab or spam folder.)

Who should attend:

Classroom teachers, school administrators, parents, non-profit organizations, and caregivers will all benefit from this valuable event. We'll learn with and from each other!

When is the conference:

We'll meet together on the afternoon of Thursday, July 16 and the morning of Friday, July 17, with sessions scheduled to encourage just-in-time learning. Come for the sessions you need, when you need them.

Featured Speakers

Jim Sporleder is coming back to Resilience Now with a deep background in building trauma informed schools and speaking. Jim retired in 2014 as principal of Lincoln High School in Walla Walla, WA. Under Jim’s leadership, Lincoln High School became a “Trauma Informed” school, gaining national attention due to a dramatic drop in out of school suspensions, increased graduation rates, and the number of students going on to post-secondary education. These dramatic changes at Lincoln caught the attention of Jamie Redford, who spent a year filming the documentary, Paper Tigers, which tells the story of Lincoln High School and the changes that Jim helped to facilitate.
