With over 5400 students attending last year, the Career & Post-Secondary Expo is the largest college and career planning event in Kansas. The event highlighted over 160 post-secondary opportunities from two and four year college degrees, industry certifications, apprenticeships, military opportunities, and business partners.
The goal of the Career Expo is to provide students at the middle and high school levels with information about the various career clusters and pathways. We are most interested in showcasing Career Clusters and Pathways that are identified as high skill and high need. You have an opportunity to help students understand career opportunities related to your programs or industry. We encourage hands on demonstrations or some type of interactive booth to provide a learning experience and initiate conversation with students.
Through the Career Expo experience, students have the opportunity to visit and interact with post-secondary and business & industry partners, gaining information and knowledge about the various Pathways within each career field. This influence will assist students as they develop their educational Individual Plans of Study and map out their needs leading to careers in related industries and college goals.
We are working today . . . to build the workforce of tomorrow! We hope you and your team will strongly consider joining us at our upcoming Career Expo on November 6 & 7, 2018.
